Abstract

The purpose of thus study was for determining how the potential and contribution of the Hotel Tax Revenue for the Revenue receipts of Padang, and the influence of the potential and contribution to the Hotel Tax Revenue receipts of Padang. The research used descriptive method quantitative and qualitative, the research sources by collecting data, presenting and explaining the data through the numbers. The results of this study indicate that the potential for hotel taxes in the city of Padang experienced ups and downs in 2015 to 2019. This is evidenced by the calculation of the difference between the realization and potential of hotel tax revenue from 2015 amounted to 17.63%, in 2016 amounted to 25.98% , in 2017 it was 39.33%, in 2018 it was 41.21% and in 2019 it would be 58.06%. up and down hotel tax potential in the city of Padang is caused by the amount of hotel revenue that is experiencing the same thing. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the potential for hotel tax revenues in Padang City does not yet reflect the true potential, therefore the Padang City Regional Revenue Office needs to optimize hotel tax revenues so that the original regional revenue also increases.
