Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement program at SDN 113 Pekanbaru and to describe the factors supporting and inhibiting the implementation of the School Literacy Movement program at SDN 113 Pekanbaru. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were the principal, teacher, and 3 students. Data collection methods used are interviews and documentation. The research instrument used interview guidelines and documentation review. The data analysis used in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that the implementation of the School Literacy Movement at SDN 113 Pekanbaru was based on the habituation stage, development stage, and learning stage. At the habituation stage, they do 15 minutes of reading, provide reading corners in classrooms and school gardens, provide wall magazines, provide libraries, and involve the public. At the development stage, do guided reading and shared reading. At the learning stage, organize literacy-based classes, conclude the readings read by students, and re-explain the contents of readings read by students. The supporting factors at SDN 113 Pekanbaru are in the form of libraries, reading books, wall magazines, reading corners, and active reading posters. In addition to supporting factors, it turns out that there are also inhibiting factors, such as students' lack of habit of reading and libraries that do not work well because there is no special staff to manage the library.
