Abstract
Social media has become a platform where individual can have a free self-express and show self-image based on its own will by uploading status, photo, and video. Average time spend to use social media is around 3 hours and 26 minutes. Positive response that received by social media user from status, photo and video uploading result can trigger individual narcissistic personality by using social media more intense and active. This research intended to scientifically review narcissistic personality based on social media use intensity with using Cluster Random Sampling method. Instrument that was used to gain the data in this research is narcissistic personality scale and social media use intensity questionnaire. Data was analyzed by using product moment correlation analysis with SPSS 19.0 for Windows program. Product moment correlation analysis show a correlation coefficient as 0,182 with p value = 0,001 (p < 0,05) that means there is a significant positive correlation between narcissistic personality and social media use intensity.
