Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle explosive power and eye and hand coordination to the passing ability of the volleyball team players in Laboi Jaya Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. This type of research is correlational. The population in this study was the volleyball team players in Laboi Jaya Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency, which amounted to 15 players. The sampling technique in this study is total sampling. The research instrument was a push up test, a tennis ball throwing and a volleyball test. The results of this study are 1) There is a contribution of arm muscle explosive power to the passing of volleyball by the players of the volleyball team in Laboi Jaya Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency by 34.6%. 2) There is a contribution of eye and hand coordination to the passing of volleyball players of the Laboi Jaya Village Volleyball Team, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency by 47.5%. 3) There is a simultaneous contribution of arm muscle explosive power and eye and hand coordination to the passing of volleyball players of the Laboi Jaya Volleyball Team, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency by 77.54%.
