Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of arm muscle power to the ability of badminton forehand strokes at PB. Pekanbaru Aviation. The type of this research is correlation. The population and sample in this study were 13 players of PB. Aviasi Pekanbaru, the sampling technique used was total sampling, namely the entire population was sampled, thus the study sample consisted of 13 players. The research instrument used was an arm muscle power test with an overhead medicine ballthrow, and a badminton forehand accuracy test. The data analysis technique used is the correlation value test and calculates the contribution value. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a contribution of arm muscle power to the ability of badminton forehand strokes at PB. Pekanbaru Aviation was 37.09% with rcount = 0.609 > rtable = 0.553.
