Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how the implementation of public services using the principles of Good Governance in the Office of the Technical Implementation Unit of the Population and Civil Registration Office of Sukajadi District. The research in this paper was conducted using a qualitative type of research. Qualitative research is to get a clearer picture of the phenomena that occur in relation to the problem under study. The research instrument is the researcher himself, and at the same time acts as a data collection tool. The researcher as a research instrument aims to obtain valid and reliable data. This may be fulfilled because the researcher went directly to the field to make observations and interviews with informants. The results of the research on the implementation of public services using the principles of good governance in the Office of the Technical Implementation Unit of the Population and Civil Registration Office of Sukajadi District through five indicators. First, the Principles of Supervision at the Sukajadi District UPTD Office have been running well internally, especially with conditions that are currently in a pandemic like this they use the internet to interact with each other between related agencies. Second, the principle of professionalism at the Sukajadi District UPTD Office is still found to be undisciplined employees where employees are found leaving their jobs during working hours, causing the community to wait to receive services. Third, the Principles of Effectiveness and Efficiency at the Sukajadi District UPTD Office have not been fully fulfilled, because in fact there are still many people who complain that the completion of the KTP-el making is not on time. Fourth, the principle of transparency at the Sukajadi District UPTD Office has been running well regarding the ease of public access to information by accessing the official website provided by the Pekanbaru City Disdukcapil. And fifth, the Equality Principle in the Sukajadi District UPTD Office has been going well because employees have been fair in providing services to the community.
