Abstract
This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Islamic University of Riau, Riau. Jalan Kaharudin Nasution KM 11 No. 113, Air Cold sub-district, sub-district Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru. The research was carried out for 5 months starting from November to March 2020. The purpose of this research is to find out the interaction effect and the main influence of ketapang leaf bokasi and time shoot pruning on the growth and production of cayenne pepper plants (Capsicum frutescens L.). The design used in this study is a randomized design Complete (RAL) which consists of two factors. The first factor is the leaf bokashi ketapang consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 500, 1000, 1500 g/plot and the second factor is shoot pruning time consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 14, 21, 28 DAP, so that There are 16 combinations with 3 replications, so there are 48 experimental units. each Each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants and 2 of them were used as as a sample so that a total of 192 plants. Parameter observation of flowering age, harvest age, number of branches, canopy width, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, and the number of fruit residues. Data analyzed statistically and further test BNJ. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the interaction of bokashi leaves ketapan and shoot pruning was significant on the number of fruits per plant and plant weight. The best treatment is the dose of bokasi ketapang leaves 1500 g/plot and shoot pruning time 28 days after planting. Main effects of leaf bokashi real tightness to all observation parameters. Best bokashi treat ketapang leaves dose of 1500 g/plot. The main effect of shoot pruning time on the parameters of flowering age, harvest age and the number of fruit left over from the practice the best is without pruning shoots, on the parameters of the number of branches, and width the best treatment canopy was pruning 28 days after planting.
