Abstract

In the midst of the current pandemic, students are faced with many situations that trigger stress, such as uncertainty about the end of the pandemic, the difficulty of finding samples and references, the economy and internet access. One of the factors that encourage students to immediately complete their thesis during a pandemic is environmental factors,So that it can be said that the social environment has a major influence on students who are compiling their thesis. Students must have good social support to support their psychological well-being. This study aims to determinethere is a relationship between social support and psychological well-being in final year students at the Islamic University of Riau. The data collection method used a social support scale with a total of 28 items and a psychological welfare scale with a total of 32 items. The sample in this study amounted to 100 students. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The data analysis method used is product moment correlation analysis. The results of statistical analysis showed a correlation of 0.610 with a (p) value of 0.000 (p < 0.01). This shows that there is a significant relationship with a positive direction between social support and psychological well-being in final year students at the Islamic University of Riau. It means,
