Abstract

Air conditioning is often referred to as AC (Air Conditioner) is the process of changing the properties of air, especially humidity and temperature to favorable conditions, to increase comfort. Based on the law of conservation of energy, energy cannot be destroyed, it can only be transferred. To get the air temperature in accordance with the desired many alternatives that can be applied, one of them is by increasing the coefficient of heat transfer of condensation and by adding the speed of cooling air to the condenser. The simple cycle of the cooling system consists of standard components such as compressors, condensers, expansion valves and evaporators. The method used in this study was an experiment using equipment from a 1 pk split AC machine. With variations in the condenser fan rotation, the rotation used is (100, 200, 300, 400 and 500) rpm. Recording data in the form of pressure and temperature are then plotted on the Ph diagram for R-410a refrigerant. Based on the discussion that has been done, the following conclusions can be drawn, the heating value released by the condenser increases from the lowest value of 157.212 kJ / kg to the highest value of 185.24 kJ / kg, Compressor work has decreased from the highest value of 38.97 kJ / kg to the lowest value 35.12 kJ / kg, the heating value absorbed by the evaporator increased from the lowest value of 118,242 kJ / kg to the highest value of 150.15 kJ / kg, the value of COP akt _ actual increased from the lowest value of 3.03418 to the highest value of 4.27448, Efficiency value has increased from the lowest value of 79.71% to the highest value of 96.79% and the compressor power value has decreased from the highest value of 0.869 kW to the lowest value of 0.836 kW. Due to the greater air flow rate to cool the condenser at 500 rpm rotation variation, the compressor consumes less power. While on the coefficient of achievement (COP) and efficiency there is an increase in the condenser cooling fan which is getting bigger.
