Abstract

This research was conducted at Experimental Garden Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jl. Kaharuddin Nasution KM 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City from October 2019 to February 2020. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of NPK 15:15:15 and Hormone ZPT fertilizers on the growth and yield of red ginger plants both in interaction and primarily. . The design used was a completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors, NPK fertilizer 15:15:15 (N), namely 0, 4, 8, 12 grams per plant and hormone ZPT (Z), namely 0, 2, 4, 6 cc per liter of water consists of 4 levels, so there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there are 48 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 6 plants and 4 of them were sampled for a total of 288 plants. The parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers per clump, weight of wet rhizomes per clump, weight of dry rhizomes per clump, and harvest index. The results of the observations were statistically analyzed and tested by BNJ at the 5% level. The results of the research by interacting with NPK 15:15:15 and ZPT Hormone fertilizers were significant on plant height, number of tillers per clump, weight of wet rhizomes per clump, weight of dry rhizomes per clump. The best treatment is combination of NPK fertilizer 15:15:15 8 gr per plant and 4 cc of hormone ZPT per liter of water (N2Z2). The main effect of NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer is significant on all observed parameters. Best treatment NPK 15:15:15 8 g per plant (N2). The main effect of hormonal ZPT was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment for ZPT Hormone is 4 cc per liter of water (Z2).
