Abstract

Extracurricular activities of dance in Junior High School 6 Pekanbaru in particular this study aims to know the purpose, materials, methods, facilities and infrastructure and assessment in the implementation of extracurricular dance activities in SMP Negeri 6 Pekanbaru. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation to see firsthand the implementation of extracurricular dance activity in Junior High School 6 Pekanbaru. Then data of interview result and observation result in this research is described and described. From the results of field findings analysis concluded that the material taught is Mak Inang dance. Based on the result of student's learning analysis on the extracurricular activity of dance (Mak Inang) consisting of 6 students namely class VII and VIII shows that most of the students who follow this extracurricular activity get A (Very Good) value because this method makes students feel enough to understand and interested in the material taught, students also often practice and discuss what movements have not been understood. So that the extracurricular activities of dance in Junior High School 6 Pekanbaru is also running well.
