Abstract

Land transport, especially urban public transport are located in big cities is important existence in running one of its main function is as a carrier movement of people to do day-to-day where the service provided is expected to be done fast, safe, convenient, inexpensive and efficient. To meet the needs of public transport Pekanbaru city, the city introduced a Bus Trans Metro Pekanbaru which has nine corridors. Trans Metro bus Pekanbaru is expected to meet the needs of high mobility. But the fact the field, Bus Trans Metro Pekanbaru not optimal in performing its role as a viable means of transportation to their community pekanbaru. This study aimed to mengnalisa operational costs of public transport bus way (Trans Metro Pekanbaru), minimizing the cost of cheaper rates and efficient and prioritizing safety. This research method using descriptive analytical research is research that is not experimental and is intended to collect the required data (in the form of primary data and secondary data) relating to research, then these data will be followed by a process of analysis. Description mean exposure (identification) the problems that exist, while the means of analysis of data collected initially prepared, described and analyzed. From the analysis results obtained magnitude transport fares Trans Metro Pekanbaru are in accordance with the Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC). Then the value of the abillity To Pay (ATP) on weekdays for Rp. 4.000 (general) and Rp.3.000 (student), on holidays Rp.4000 (general) and Rp.3.000 (students ). While the value of willingness to pay (WTP) on weekdays for Rp.3.000 (general) and Rp.2.000 (student), on holidays Rp.3.000 (general) and Rp.2.000 (students). This condition indicates that the applicable rates are in accordance with the value of the abillity To Pay (ATP) while the value of willingness to pay (WTP) is not in accordance with the current rate is for the public at Rp.4000 and students Rp.3000.
