Abstract

The study is motivated by the problem of low student motivation that occurs in some students at SMA IT Fadhilah Pekanbaru. This study aims to find out how the level of creativity of Islamic Studies teachers at SMA IT Fadhilah Pekanbaru, to find out how the level of student motivation in learning Islamic Studies and to find out whether there is an influence of teacher creativity on student learning motivation. The method of the study is quantitative with a correlational approach. The subject of the study is all students at SMA IT Fadhilah Pekanbaru, and the object of the study is the teacher creativity on students’ motivation in learning Islamic Studies at SMA IT Fadhilah Pekanbaru. The population of the study consists of 170 students with a sample of 121 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it is known that the creativity level of Islamic Studies teachers is 0.876, whereas 87.60% is included in the very high category. It is known that the level of student learning motivation is 0.878 or 87.82% is inclueded in the very high category. It is known that there is an influence of teacher creativity on students’ learning motivation. Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, the significance value is 0.000, because 0.000 is less than 0.05 so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The influence of teacher creativity is 94.9% with a very strong criteria. While the remaining 5.1% is influenced by other factors. So, it can be predicted that if the teacher creativity increase, it will increase the students’ learning motivation by 0.994 or 99.4%.
