Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of cow manure and KCl fertilizer on the growth and production of cucumber (Cucumis sativus) plants. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of two factors, the first factor was the dose of cow manure which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 0.75, 1.5, 2.25 kg/plot and the second factor is the dose of KCl fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 1.9, 3.75, and 5.6 g/plant obtained 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there are 48 experimental units. Parameters observed were flowering age, fruiting age, harvesting age, number of fruits per plot, weight of fruit per plot, longest fruit length, weight of fruit per plot, and number of remaining fruits. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of cow manure and KCl had an effect on all the observation parameters. The best practice was giving cow manure 2.25 kg/plot and KCl 5.6 g/plant. The main effect of cow manure has an effect on all observation parameters. Best treatment 2.25 kg/plot. The main effect of KCl has an effect on all observation parameters. Best treatment 5.6 g/plant.
