Abstract

Well AN-85 Field A is a vertical oil well with a permeability value of 0.02 mD and a porosity value of 10% and is a Shaly Sand (tight oil formation) reservoir type. Due to the small natural permeability of the rock, hydraulic fracturing is carried out in this well to increase the permeability and conductivity value of the AN-85 well. To determine the appropriate type of fracturing fluid and proppant in the AN-85 well, using the fracpro software simulation, research will be carried out regarding the variations in types between the fracturing fluid and proppant in the AN-85 well. The method that will be used in this study is to perform a 4×2 scenario which produces eight scenarios that focus on the appropriate FCD and FOI values to be applied to the AN-85 well, In analyzing the fracturing fluid, the researchers used four types of fracturing fluid, namely YF130D, YF135D, YF135LGD, and YF115LG and the respective viscosity values of the four types of fracturing fluids are 63.7 cP, 81.8 cP, 272.5 cP and 61.8 cP. As well as using two types of proppant namely brady sand and arizona sand, which of the two proppants has a value of roundness and sphericity as follows (0.7, 0.8), and (0.7, 0.8). Based on the research that has been done, the results of the variation of the type of fracturing fluid and proppant that are most suitable to be applied in the AN-85 well are the scenario (D2), namely the value of fracture conductivity dimensionless (FCD) and the resulting fold of increase (FOI) of 8.91 and 1.959.
