Abstract

Over time when the production activities carried out continuously, the amount of oil in the world is decreasing. Therefore it is necessary to make efforts to adjust the needs with the availability of these energy resource reserves. Finding areas for field development is one way that can be done to find new reserves or drain residual oil in existing wells that are not producing optimally. Regionally, the Wakanda field includes in the Central Sumatra Basin area. In this study, there were 3 wells that became the reference for placing the development of new well locations, namely WKND#01, WKND04 and WKND#09 wells. The methodology used in this research is to carry out exploration and petrophysical analysis, such as processing real data from Wakanda field wells to obtain seismic interpretations, depth maps, structural and petrophysical maps. The results of the WKND#01 hydrocarbon cut-off well are an average porosity of 29%, an average water saturation of 0.37 and average permeability 266.93 mD. From the calculation results, WKND#01 has a larger reserve of 8647139.76 stb compared to the WKND#04 and WKND#09 wells of 6737845.908 stb dan 1049442.27 stb, so that the WKND#01 well can be used as a reference in determining the location of the development well. Based on the coordinates of the WKND#01 and WKND#04, the East-North-Northeast part of the WKND#01 well, can be a recommended location for the development well.
