Abstract

This research was conducted for 42 days starting on April 13 - May 25, 2019, at the Fish Seed Center (BBI), Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the effect of giving sago pulp and cow dung with different percentages to the increase in earthworm populations (L. rubellus). The method used in this study is to use a completely randomized design (CRD) method with five three replications treatments. The treatments used as trials in this study were: P1: using 100% sago pulp, P2: using 100% cow dung, P3: using 75% sago pulp + 25% cow dung, P4: using 50% sago pulp + 50% manure cow, P5: use 25% sago pulp + 75% cow dung. Treatment experiments were carried out on earthworms (Lumbricus rubellus). The container used is 15 units of tray (tray) with a size of 30 x 40 x 10 (cm) which is filled with sago pulp media and cow dung with stocking densities of earthworms A total of 40 individuals. Based on the results of research conducted, it is known that the highest increase in worm population (L. rubellus) is in the treatment of P5 using 25% sago pulp + 75% cow dung with a population increase of 627.34 individuals and the lowest is in the treatment of P1 using 100 % sago pulp where there is no increase in the population of earthworms (L. rubellus). Analysis of variance showed that Fcount 261.61 <Ftable (0.01) 5.99 at 99% accuracy, where the administration of different sago pulp and cow dung affected the increase in earthworm population (L. rubellus.)
