Abstract

The study was conducted in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution KM 11 No113, Air Dingin, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study was conducted from June to August 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Interactions and Main Types of Growing Media and NPK Pearl Fertilizer 16:16:16 Against Growth and Production of Shallots The design used in this experiment was a 2-Factor Complete Randomized Design. The First Factor was Various Types of Planting Media which consisted of 4 levels of treatment. Peat, PMK, PMK: Peat (1: 2), PMK: Peat (2: 1). The second factor is pearl NPK fertilizer consisting of 4 levels. (0), (5), (10), (15) grams / polybag. The parameters observed were plant height, age of harvest, number of tuber tubers, wet tuber weight of the sample, dry tuber weight of the sample, and tuber weight loss. observational data were analyzed statistically which was then further tested BNJ (Honestly Significant Difference) at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of various types of planting media and NPK fertilizer were real pearls on plant height, harvest age, number of clump tubers, wet tuber crop weight, plant dry tuber weight, and tuber weight loss. The best treatment is found in the planting media of a mixture of FMD and peat 1: 2 and a NPK pearl 10g / plant (K2N2) dose. The main influence of planting media and NPK Mutiara significantly on plant height, harvest age, number of tubers perump, wet weight of cropping, dry weight of cropping and shrinkage of tuber weight. The best treatment was found in the planting media of a mixture of PMK and Peat 1: 2 (K2) and the concentration of NPK Mutiara 10g / plant (N2) fertilizer.
