Abstract

This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution Km 11 No. 113 Marpoyan, Kelurahan Air Dingin, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City for three months (December 2018 to February 2019). The purpose of this research is to know the Growth and Production Response of Shallots to the Use of Kascing Fertilizer and NPK Mutiara Fertilizer 16:16:16. The experimental design used in this study was a Factorial Complete Randomized Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is, the use of fertilizers (K) with 4 levels of treatment: 0 (Control), 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 kg / plot. While the second factor is the use of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer with 4 levels of treatment: 0 (Control), 15, 30, 45 g / plot. Observed parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of tillers (tubers), age of harvest (days) wet tuber crop weight (g), dry tuber crop weight (g), tuber tuber weight (g), and tuber shrinkage (gums) %). Observation data were analyzed statistically and presented in tabular and graphical form then continued with further tests of honest significant difference (BNJ) at 5% level. The results showed the interaction of the use of Kascing fertilizer and Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer gave a significant effect on the age of harvest, the wet weight of the plant bulbs, and the dry weight of the plant bulbs. The best treatment is the use of vermicompost fertilizer 2.0 kg / plot and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 30 g / plot (K2N2). The main influence of the use of Kascing fertilizer is evident on the number of saplings, age of harvest, wet weight of crop tubers, dry weight of crop tubers, tuber weight of tubers and tuber shrinkage. The best treatment is the use of vermicompost fertilizer 2.0 kg / plot (K2). The main influence of the use of NPK Muitara 16:16:16 is evident on the number of tillers, harvest age, wet weight of crop tubers, dry weight of crop tubers, tuber weight of tubers and tuber shrinkage. The best treatment for the use of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 30 g / plot (N2) fertilizer.
