Abstract

Pollination is the transfer of pollen from the anther to the stigma, while fertilization is the process of the meeting of male sex cells and female sex cells into one which occurs in perfect flowers and imperfect flowers. The process of pollination and fertilization in flowers is one of the Seed Technology courses in the 5 semester of the Agrotechnology department at the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau. One of the obstacles in studying plant genetic material is that students do not understand how the process of pollination and fertilization in flowers occurs diretly. The development of learning media using Augmented Reality technology can be one of the right solutions to increase effectiveness in learning. This technology allows abstract things that are nit visible, can be simulated in 3D or 2D in real time and seem real. Applications are made with Unity using 3D displays with markeless tachniques and using the ARCore SDK library. Based on testing at a distance of 10 cm to 200 cm 3D animation can be displayed, and animation can be displayed outside or inside the room and can do location tracking anywhere provided that it has sufficicent light intensity above 0 lux. Based on the results of user testing, the percentage of accuracy id 86,5% with 10 respondents, so this application can be implemented as a learning medium for the process of pollination and fertilization in flowers. rd
