Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the comparison between the return and risk of Islamic stocks with conventional stocks. This study used a purposive sampling method with a quantitative approach. The research sample was 10 Islamic stocks and 10 conventional stocks and the data for the month of stock prices were taken during the period 2017 - 2019. Data analysis used the Independent T test. The results showed that stock returns were higher than conventional stocks and the risk of Islamic stocks was higher than conventional stocks. However, the results of statistical tests show that the return and risk of Islamic stocks are not significantly different from conventional stocks.
