Abstract

This study is motivated by the low skill of writing Al-Qur'an letters in learning Al-quran Hadiths at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The signs of this case are: some students do not know how to write the Al-Qur’an letters when dictated or Imla', some students do not know how to distinguish letters that are read, and some students have low knowledge of writing the Al-Qur'an letters. However, A student should have high writing skill, because writing skill is very important in the learning process. The problem formulation of this study is whether there is an influence of Imla’ method on the skill of writing Al-Qur'an letters in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith at Mts Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of Imla’ method on the skill of writing Al-Quran letters in learning Al-Quran Hadith at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The type of this study is quantitative research with a correlation approach. The population of this study is all students of grade VII at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru, with a sample of 165 students. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study show that the alternative hypothesis which states that there is an influence of Imla’ method on the skill of writing Al-Qur’an letters is accepted with a significance value of 0.000. The magnitude of influence is low (0.340 or 34%). So, it can be predicted that if the Imla’ method increases, it will increase the skill of writing Al-Qur'an letters by 0.362 or 36.2%. On the other hand, if the Imla’ method decreases, the skill of writing Al-Qur'an letters will also decrease by 0.362 or 36.2%. In conclusion, the results of this study show that there is a low influence of Imla method’ on the skill of writing Al-Qur'an letters in learning Al-Quran hadiths at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru.
