Abstract

Analysis of Rubber Farmer Household Expenditure in Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency". Under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Elinur, SP., M.Si as Advisor I and Mr. Herianto, SP., M.Si as Advisor II. The increase in income affects the ability of the community to improve nutrition because this level of income greatly influences the expenditure and welfare of the farmer household. This study aims: to determine the characteristics of rubber farmers, to analyze the structure of household income of rubber farmers, to analyze rubber farmer household expenditures, to analyze the dominant factors that affect household expenditure of rubber farmers and to analyze the level of household welfare of rubber farmers in Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method. Of the 14 villages that produced rubber, 6 villages were selected randomly (Simple Random Sampling). The sample of farmers was taken deliberately (purposive sampling) with many farmers 30 farmers. The analytical tool used in this research is multiple linear regression. The results of this study are: the average age of farmers is 45.2 years, the average length of education of the farmers is 9 years or equivalent to junior high school, the number of family members of the farmers is on average 4.8 or 5 people, the average farming experience is 15.2. or 15 years, the average farmer's land area is 1.6 hectares. The highest source of household income for rubber farmers comes from rubber farming and non-farming income is the lowest. Rubber farmer household expenditure is very diverse, the largest farmer household expenditure with a percentage of 60.04% comes from non-food expenditure. The dominant factors affecting rubber farmer household expenditure are household income, length of education, the number of school children at the 10% real level, while the farming experience variables, number of family members and land area dummy are not significant to rubber farmer household expenditure. Rubber farmer households in Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency are categorized as prosperous households because their monthly per capita income is above the poverty line (GK).
