Abstract

Legal protection for child victims of obscene acts is regulated in Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection in conjunction with Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, where the crime of sexual immorality has an impact on development. psychological child. The main problem that the author examines is related to how the form of legal protection for child victims of obscene acts in the Legal Area of the Dumai Police and what are the obstacles in providing legal protection for children who are victims of obscene acts in the Legal Area of the Dumai Police. The research method that the author uses in this research isobservational research, by conducting a survey directly into the field to obtain data, while the nature of this research is an analytical description in which the writer tries to provide a complete, detailed, and clear picture of a reality. related to legal protection for child victims of obscene acts committed by the Unit PPA (Women and Children Services) Satreskrim Dumai Police. The results of this study are: 1. The form of legal protection for children who are victims of obscene acts is carried out by providing assistance by parents or guardians who are trusted by the child, separation of children from adults or suspects in the process of investigation and investigation, avoidance of publications and children's identities. , Medical assistance, social rehabilitation, psychosocial assistance during treatment until recovery, and providing information on case developments. 2. The factors that inhibit legal protection for child victims of obscene acts include: the victim's lack of legal awareness, law enforcement factors, child psychological factors, family factors, and finally environmental and community factors greatly influence the police in providing legal protection for children victim of obscene acts.
