Abstract
This research was conducted at UPK Syech Ahmad Bunda which aims to find out whether the accounting applied by the UPK Syech Ahmad Bunda is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The data used in the research at UPK Syech Ahmad Bunda are premier data and secondary data, while the data collection techniques are done by interview and documentation. Based on the research and discussion, it was raised several problems in the application of accounting to UPK Syech Ahmad Bunda including in the accounting process conducted by UPK Syech Ahmad Bunda not following the usual accounting process, the presentation of fixed assets was not in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles are, UPK Syech Ahmad Bunda not grouping long-term debt and shotr-term debt does not make a report of changes in equity and entered the inventory list in the financial report. From the results of research conducted at UPK Syech Ahmad Bunda it can be concluded that the accounting applied as a whole is not in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
