Abstract

Researchers conducted research on the use of instructional media by Indonesian language teachers in junior high schools in Langgam District, Pelalawan District. This research is motivated by the world of teaching and learning which has a very important role in the development of education, especially for students. Through teaching and learning, the education process takes place. The educational process takes place through teaching and learning. Therefore, the world of teaching and learning is very important to observe and pay attention to, one of them is by understanding various types of learning media in providing subject matter to students. The problem in this study is how the use of instructional media by teachers in learning Indonesian in junior high school in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency and what obstacles are faced by teachers in the use of Indonesian language learning media in junior high schools in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency. The purpose of this study was to collect data, describe, analyze, and conclude the use of instructional media by Indonesian language teachers in junior high schools in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency. The theories used are the theory of Azhar (2015), Arikunto (2014), Asyhar (2012), Indriana (2011), Sanjaya (2012), Sadiman (2012) and other supporting theories. The method I use is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study was 10 Indonesian language teachers. The sample used is a saturated sample. The results of this study were 71.44% of Indonesian Language teachers in SMP in Langgam Subdistrict Using learning media when delivering subject matter and the percentage figure could be categorized (Good). The obstacle faced by teachers is that not all media is facilitated by the school and the busy hours of teaching teachers hinder the procurement of learning media.
