Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee productivity through affective commitment. This research was conducted with the title “The Influence of Transformational Leadership on Employee Work Productivity through Affective Commitment at PT. Nusantara V Pekanbaru Plantation�. The research population is only part of the data information that the average number of employees at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru about 153 employees, the determination of the sample using the census technique method, the population is used as the research sample. Therefore, the sample used in this study was 41 respondents, which were taken from the engineering and processing section and the accounting and finance section. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis in this research is descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results showed that partially the variables of transformational leadership and affective commitment had a positive and significant effect on the work productivity of employees at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru, and the results shown in the multiple regression show that the transformational leadership variable has a positive influence on work productivity, and the affective commitment variable has a positive influence on work productivity at PT. Nusantara V Pekanbaru Plantation.
