Abstract

Based on a preliminary study at SMPIT Bunayya Pekanbaru, there were still some students who have low learning creativity. The Researcher also found several signs in the field, namely: there were still some students who lacked initiative in the learning process, there were still some students who did not believe in their own ideas, there were still some students who were less active in asking questions in class, and there were still some students who had a sense of low curiosity. The problem formulation of this study is: what are the efforts of Islamic Education teachers in increasing student learning creativity at SMPIT Bunayya Pekanbaru. This study aims to investigate the efforts of Islamic Education teachers in increasing student learning creativity at SMPIT Bunayya Pekanbaru. The type of this study is qualitative with a case study approach. To obtain data in this study, data collection techniques such as interviews and documentation were used. After the data are obtained, they are processed and analyzed through data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this study are: First, the Islamic Education teachers try to convey the steps of the inquiry approach. Second, the Islamic education teachers divide into groups in the inquiry approach. Third, the Islamic education teachers provide opportunities for students to convey their ideas. Fourth, the Islamic education teachers provide suggestions and advice to students. Fifth, the Islamic education teachers give awards in the form of praise to students. Sixth, the Islamic education teachers try to prepare additional media in the learning process. Then, several other teacher efforts are found: First, Islamic Education teachers use the question and answer method in the learning process, this question and answer method can make students learn more actively. Second, Islamic education teachers use the discussion method in the learning process.
