Abstract

Merbau District The substance regarding the implementation of public services at the Merbau sub-district office in the Meranti Islands regency is how employees carry out public services at the Meranti sub-district office. Especially in the management of SITU / HO. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of employees in improving service quality at the Merbau sub-district office in the Meranti Regency. This research method is a descriptive survey using quantitative methods. The sampling technique in this study used a census for the Head of the Sub-district, and a random sampling technique for employees and the community. The sample in this study the authors set as many as 41 people. The results showed that the implementation of public services at the Merbau sub-district office, Kepulauan Meranti district, was categorized as Good Enough. There are still obstacles, namely, on the service product indicators, the number of SITU / HO that are not ready to be done by the Merbau District, Meranti Islands Regency, this is because the staff are few, therefore, officers find it difficult when providing services because one person must concurrently work. With the limited number and quality of officers in the service division, it can hinder service work to the community because officers have concurrent jobs. In the indicator of service time, the SITU / HO management takes a long time, so people use brokerage services to make it faster. coordination with the Village government. When the sub-district provides information related to public services to the village government, sometimes this information is not conveyed to the community. So that the community does not know the information provided from the sub-district
