Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the factors that play a role in student achievement. Motivation is the overall driving force inside interesting student learning, because if someone doesn't have the motivation to learn, they will not do learning activities. Motivation to learn which is the main factor that causes it high learning achievement. This research was conducted to study influences learning motivation towards learning achievement in economic subjects at students of Class XI of Benai 1 State Vocational School, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The population in this study were all students of class XI of SMK Negeri 1 Benai Kuantan Singingi District which was taken by 43 people, according to sample, total example). Data was collected through questionnaires. While data analysis using simple linear analysis and t test with a level of 5%. This study shows significant learning motivation on student achievement on economic subjects in class XI SMK Negeri 1 Benai Kuantan Singingi Regency with a t count value of 10.229 and t table of 2.045 means that t count is greater than t table or significant 0,000 <0,05. Value of R 2 Obtained by 0.739 which can be interpreted as big as 0.739 (73.90%) contributed the variable motivation to learn to student achievement in economics in class XI of SMK Negeri 1 Benai Kuantan Singingi Regency.
