Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out (1) Contribution of leg muscles to the ability to kick the ball into the shooting (shooting) in PS UIR Pekanbaru athletes, (2) The contribution of eye-foot coordination to the ability to kick the ball at the goal (shooting) the athletes of the PS UIR Pekanbaru, and (3) the contribution of leg muscle strength and eye-foot coordination to shooting skills in the PS UIR Pekanbaru athletes. The design of this study uses multiple correlation with two independent variables, namely leg muscle strength (x1) and ankle coordination (x2), and one devendent variable, namely shooting (y). Sampling was carried out, namely with a total sampling of 18 people. The test instruments used were (1) Leg muscle strength test using a legdynamometer, (2) Foot coordination test with soccer wall volley test, and (3) Shooting test on goal. Data analysis using product moment correlation and to find the contribution of each variable using the coefficient of determination formula. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that (1) there is a significant leg muscle strength towards the ability to kick the ball into the soccer game goal PS UIR Pekanbaru of 23.39% with a value of 0.483 > rtable 0.468. (2) There is a significant contribution of ankle coordination to the accuracy of the kick to the goal of the football game athletes of Pekanbaru UIR PS of 30.47% with a value of 0.552> rtable 0.468. (3) There is a significant contribution between leg muscle strength and ankle coordination on the skill of kicking the ball into the goal of soccer game athletes of PS UIR Pekanbaru by 53.76% with a rhitng value of 0.733 > rtable 0.468.
