Abstract

This research is motivated by a number of problems found in extracurricular students of SMA Negeri 6 in Pekanbaru City, among others: where agility when carrying the ball is still not maximal or not so good that the ball is difficult to control and uncontrolled, easy to grab the opponent, this is caused Inadequate training in student agility brings the ball so that the movement that is done is not good, where dribble is done lacking agility, this study aims to find out whether there is an agility contribution to the basketball dribble ability of high school students in the 6 cities of the new city this type of research is Correlation with analysis using correlation, with the population technique is the ecclesiastical student overall high school in the city of Pekanbaru, with a population of 15 people. hepotesis testing uses the produck moment correlation test. from the calculation of correlational value r count = 0.468 <r table = 0.514 then to see the level of significance {significance} of the two variables used formula t with the results of pertitingan t hirung = 1.910 then concentrated with the formula t with the result t table = 2.131. thus conclude; agility contribution to the ability of the basketball club's deribble ability of the ekrakurikuler senior high school 6 Pekanbaru city at 21.90%.
