Abstract

Based on the results of observations made on class XI students, it can be seen that students' skills in serving under volleyball are still not optimal. When serving below, students do not put their left foot in front of the right foot. This certainly will have an impact on the body's balance in doing service. Students roll the ball too high, this of course will cause inaccuracies in hitting the ball. Then how to hit the wrong ball. This can cause the ball to get stuck on the net. In addition, teachers have never used modeling methods to improve students' ability to serve below. The purpose of this study was to improve service learning outcomes under volleyball through the student team achievement divisions (STAD) method in class XI students SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is PTK. The population and sample in this study were class XI students SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru, amounting to 36 people. The data analysis technique used is to calculate the percentage value of classical completeness. From the results of research and data analysis, this study concluded that there was an increase in learning outcomes under volleyball through the student team achievement divisions (STAD) method in class XI students SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru with a percentage of classical completeness in the first cycle of 56% and in the cycle II amounting to 89% so there is an increase in the percentage value of 33%.
