Abstract

This study aims to determine pedagogic competence based on the regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 16 of 2007 which is owned by science / biology teachers at SMAN 1 Taluk Kuantan. This study uses this using the Qualitative Descriptive Method where researchers attempt to peel the research data through primary data sources in the form of transcripts of observations. Also equipped with secondary data sources in the form of documentation data and the results of structured interviews with science / biology teachers at SMAN 1 Taluk Kuantan. The sample used was 2 Biology teachers. Next is descriptive analysis data. The results showed that the level of pedagogical competence of science / biology teachers at SMAN 1 Taluk Kuantan was competent. It can be concluded that the pedagogical competencies possessed by science / biology teachers at SMAN 1 Taluk Kuantan are in line with the Minister of National Education Regulation 16 of 2007, but there needs to be some improvements or improvements such as indicators facilitating the development of potential students to actualize their potential and evaluation of learning processes and outcomes, and utilizing the results of assessment and evaluation for the benefit of learning are still not competent.r
