Abstract

Based on the results of observations of the VIII-2 classmates of YLPI Middle School, Perhentian Marpoyan Pekanbaru, the researchers saw that there were still many students who did not master the learning outcomes of long jump correctly. The purpose of this study was to improve the long jump learning outcomes of class VIII-2 students at YLPI Middle School, Marpoyan, Pekanbaru. This type of research is classroom action research consisting of 2 variables. the population in this study were all students of class VIII-2 YLPI ikmd voluntary junior high school totaling 23 students. the sampling technique used is total sampling with various considerations from the researcher thus the number of samples in this study amounted to 23 students. the test instrument used is the work of the long jump. based on the research of long jump learning using the playing method for class VIII-2 YLPI Middle School, Marpoyan Pekanbru, the average ability of students in the initial test was categorized quite good with 78,26 % in the first cycle of long jump learning using the playing method has an 82,60 % increase.
