Abstract

To increase the productivity of a sucker rod pump, it isnnecessary to pay attention to the pump production capacity, step length, pumping speed. The decrease in pump production can be caused by various factors. In well X the production decline is due to incompatibility with then optimum target that can be achieved by the pump. Where at the time of the research X wells have been produced using Sucker Rod Pump with Hydraulic Pump drive type where step length (S) is 48 inches, pump speed (N) 10 SPM and production rate is 118 BFPD. With the current sucker rod pump data obtained volumetric efficiency of 64,16%. This optimization is done by using nodal analysis, which is the intersection between the Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) curve of Pudjo Sukarno's method and the Pump Intake curve N and S. The results of intersection The two curves are obtained by values N and S versus to thennew production rate (q). From the intersection of the S and N curves versus the new production rate, the optimum production rate is obtained according to the potential ofnthe well. The results of the Rod Pump Sucker optimization on the X Well show that length the pump step (S) is 40 inches, the pump speed (N) obtained is 9.3 spm, with the production rate (q) of 119.7 BFPD and then pump's volumetric efficiency (Ev) is 87,7%, which means there is an increase in volumetric efficiency of the pump and production rate so the pump cannbe said to work quite efficiently.
