Abstract

The S96 field consists of 5 formations. The most important product that produces oil comes from the DR Formation and BK Formation, with around 51% OOIP at S96 Field. Each formation has different rock hardness levels, to make wells of course it will also use different bits, according to the formation that will be penetrated. From these indications, it will be analyzed the performance of the drill bits that have been used in the S96 field, namely in wells A18 and S01. In the A18 well, the performance of the PDC Bit drill bit will be analyzed. At a depth of 0 to a depth of 2350 ft. Whereas in the well S01 will be evaluated the performance of the Roller cone Bit drill bit. At a depth of 0 to a depth of 3675 ft. Analysis is used with the Cost Per Foot and Specific Energy method. From the analysis of the performance bits to the formation, the bits used in well A18 are bits of PDC and wells of S01 are roller cone bits. The penetrated rock is soft to moderate formation, the bits with the IADC S223 code match. From the cost per foot method shows an increase in running to three. and at running 4 to 7 has a stable CPF price. Running 8 to 10 the price of the CPF is relatively stable and indicates there are no problems with the bit. Using roller cone bits shows an increase in the first running. Running 2 to 6 has a stable CPF price. On running 7 to 10 the price of the CPF is stable, indicating there are no problems with the bit. From the specific energy bit method 17 has a low SE price because of the formation penetrated by the soft category. Running 2 to 7 or 12 shows prices that are starting to rise. At running 8 to 10 or bit 8 indicates a larger SE price. For roller cones, bits when running first have a low SE price. Running 2 to 6 or showing prices that are starting to rise. At running 7 to 10 shows a larger SE price.
