Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the program for the provision of livable houses in Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. This study aims to determine the implementation of the program for the provision of livable houses in Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. The type of research used is descriptive with qualitative methods, namely research that seeks to describe the object or subject under study in accordance with what it is, as well as explaining the variables and indicators. The results of the research regarding the Implementation of the Program for Providing Liveable Housing in Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency were analyzed through four indicators. First,The policy output (decision) that the decision issued by the Bengkalis Regency Government in the program of providing decent housing clearly refers to Law No. 1 of 2011 concerning Housing and Settlement Areas in meeting community needs for decent settlements. Second, the compliance of the target group is well implemented, where the Kelurahan in carrying out their duties refers to the regulations that have been set by the Regency Government in the program for providing livable houses along with the community who meet the requirements in accordance with the regulations. ThirdThe real impact of the policy can be seen in tangible results in the form of houses being built for people who have received assistance that creates positive behavior changes from the community, such as increasing public trust in programs run by the government. Fourth , the perception of the impact, namely the benefits of implementing the program for the provision of livable housing, is not only felt by the people who get the house directly but also the local government gains the trust of the community which creates support for the implementation of the program from all parties involved.
