Abstract

Based on observations of class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Tapung Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar, while playing football, there are some phenomena of the ability to dribble students' ball is still low, it can be seen when students dribbling balls, balls often released from foot controls and balls can easily captured by opponents playing. This indicates that the mastery of students' dribbling technique is still low. Therefore it is necessary for students to be given a method of teaching so that the football material, especially in the technique of dribbling the ball, can be mastered by students well. The lack of mastery of the techniques possessed by students may be due to the fact that the teacher has never implemented a variation training method to improve the technique of dribbling balls while teaching in the process of learning physical education at school. The purpose of this study is to increase the dribbling of the ball in football games through the variation training method in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Tapung Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar. The type of this research is PTK. The population and sample in this study were students of class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Tapung Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar, which amounted to 35 people. The data analysis technique used is to calculate the percentage value of classical completeness. From the results of research and data analysis, this study can be concluded that there is an increase in dribbling skills of ball in football games through the variation method in students of class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Tapung Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar with a percentage of classical completeness in the first cycle of 65.71% and at the second cycle was 88.57% so there was an increase in the percentage value of 22.86%.
