Abstract

The background of this reseach was the lack of students’ character that can be seen from some prelimanary reseach that done by reseacher. Based on observation at Islamic Elementary School Plus of YLPI Pekanbaru, it found unfavorable behavioral symptoms of students such as: (1) fighting with friends, (2) making fun of other friends, (3) lack of courtesy polite between friends, (4) and lack of discipline when studying like playing when the teacher was explaining the lesson. This actions should not be happened, students should have good attitute because teacher has given character education during the lesson. The formulation of the problem of this reseach was how the implementation of character education in learning at Islamic Elementary School Plus of YLPI Pekanbaru. This was descriptive reseach. Questionnaires and documentation were used in collecting data. The popultion of this reseach was taken from all samples were 30 participants. Based on the result of this reseach after calculating manually by using the formula 100%, it obtained result 86.97%. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of character education in learning at Islamic Elementary School Plus of YLPI Pekanbaru was “very good”.
