Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle power to the service results of extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu Kampar Regency. This type of research is correlational research. The population in this study were members of the volleyball extracurricular at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency, amounting to 19 people. the research sampling technique is total sampling, where the entire population of 19 people is sampled. The research instrument used a test throwing medicine overhead balls and a service test on volleyball. The results of calculations performed obtained a correlation index of 0.565. This value is then compared with the r table value at df = 17 with a 5% error rate of 0.456. Comparison of the two values r count value is greater than r table so that there is a contribution between the two variables. The results of the calculation of the t test obtained t count value of 2.82. Based on the statistical book, the t table value in the sample is 19 or DF = 17 people is 2.11. because the value of t count (2.82)> value of t table (2.11), the contribution between the two variables is a significant contribution. The coefficient of determination obtained a value of 31.9%.
