Abstract

This study aims to develop and produce mathematical learning tools that are valid and practical. Learning tools developed in the form of Learning Implementation Plans, Lesson Plan (RPP) and Student Activity Sheets (LAS). In this case the researcher conducted a study on 29 August to 12 September 2018 towards the seventh grade students of State Junior High School 17 Pekanbaru in the academic year 2018/2019. The development of this learning device uses a modified 4D development model into 3 stages, namely: (1) Define (Defining); (2) Design (Design); and (3)Develop.The instrument of this research is the Lesson Plan (RPP) and LAS validation sheets, qustionaires to the students, qustionaires teachers and observer. Data collection technique used were validation data from experts and teacher response questionnaire data, student response questionnaire data and implementation sheet of the learning process.Data analysis technique used decriptive analysis.The results were obtained by the validity of the lesson plan was 82,5 % with a fairly valid category, and the validity of the LAS was 82.02% with the category quite valid which means that Lesson Plan (RPP) and LAS included in the category were quite valid.The results of practicality obtained from student responses amounted was 82.19% with the practical category and the teacher's response was 98.21% with a very practical category. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that it has produced a mathematics learning device based on the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) of class VII State Junior High School 17 Pekanbaru which is tested for its validity and practicality.
