Abstract

The problem in this study is, Efforts to Improve the Service Ability of Short Badminton Through the Part Method for Students of Pekanbaru 14 High School. This is because the method applied has not been effective so that learning has not achieved maximum results. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning skills of short-term badminton service through the method of part of students of Pekanbaru 14 High School. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The form of this study is all students of class XI IPA2 Pekanbaru 14 High School, amounting to 33 people. The technique of this research is total sampling. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation techniques, and test techniques. The data analysis technique uses performance tests that are doing short service badminton, then the results of the tests are assessed. From the implementation of the first cycle and the results there were 15 students who reached the KKM score (45.45%) and 18 students who had not yet reached the KKM score (54.54%). Followed by the implementation of the second cycle and the results increased with the number of 27 students who reached the KKM score (81.81%) and 6 students who had not yet reached the KKM score (18.18%). Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in short service badminton learning through the part method in class XI IPA 2 Pekanbaru 14 High School.
