Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the learning approach of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on Mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VIII of SMPN 10 Pekanbaru or there is no influence. This type of research was a quasi experiment with the design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population was all eighth grade students of Pekanbaru 10 Junior High School and the study sample was students of class VIII7 as the experimental class and class VIII8 as the control class. Data collection techniques are tests, implementation observation sheets and documentation. For the results of the study, a normality test is first carried out. The normality test uses Chi-Square (
