Abstract

Electricity is a very vital and strategic tool in supporting all human needs, as a country that has a large area and population where at present the demand for electricity is greatly increasing. The need for electricity is supplied by SOEs, namely PLN, one of the types of power plants, is a gas engine power plant. In the Gas Engine system there are several things that can affect the performance of the Gas Engine, one of which is vibration on the main shaft. With the vibration problems on the main shaft, it needs to be analyzed by vibration on the main shaft of 0.131 Inc / s with an effective power value of 16.8 MW, fuel mass flow rate of 2636 kg / hour, highest torque of 321019.10 Nm, use of specific fuel (SFC) 0.1569 kg / kW. Hours, fuel and air ratio (AFR) 0.089, highest thermal efficiency 46.24%. Where the greater the vibration, the performance of the gas engine system will increase at PT. PLN (Persero) electricity center Balai Pungut Duri. When the study starts on Monday 04 December 2017 until finished. The place for this research was conducted at PT.
