Abstract

Harvesting is the main occupation in oil palm plantation companies. Harvesting work in oil palm plantation companies in general uses a workbased basis, each harvest worker is given a basic target in the form of kilograms, workers who have exceeded the target or harvested beyond work time are then given a premium wage. Pursuant to Article 78 paragraph (2 ) of Law Number 13 Year 2003 concerning Manpower, Employers who employ workers / laborers over their work time must pay overtime wages. The obligation is regulated in the Ministerial Decree in question is the Decree of the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Number KEP. 102 / MEN / VI / 2004 concerning Overtime and Overtime Work Wages. The main problem in this study are: How is the protection of wages for excess work time for harvesting workers with a stock base work system at PT. Inecda in Indragiri Hulu Regency? What are the inhibiting factors in the implementation of wage protection for excess work time for harvesting workers with a stock base work system at PT. Inecda in Indragiri Hulu Regency? Is the effort that can be done by workers for the non-implementation of wage protection for working time for harvesting workers with a stock base work system at PT. Inecda in Indragiri Hulu Regency?. The research method in this research is observational research, in collecting the author's data using a questionnaire and interview. This research is analytical descriptive, that is, research that describes and provides clear and systematic details of the subject matter under study. The results obtained showed that: (1) Implementation of wage protection for excess work time for harvesting workers with a stock base work system at PT. Inecda in Indragiri Hulu Regency has not yet proceeded as regulated in the legislation in the field of labor. (2) The value of premiums per kilo gram which is the basis of calculation in payment of wages for excess work time for harvesting workers becomes an inhibiting factor in the implementation of wage protection for excess work time for harvesting workers with a stock base work system at PT. Inecda in Indragiri Hulu Regency. (3) Efforts that can be made by workers for non- implementation of wage protection for working time for harvesting workers with a flatbed work system at PT. Inecda in Indragiri Hulu Regency is by way of claiming its rights through complaints addressed to the Riau Province Manpower Office so that a wage shortage for excess work time can be determined by the Labor Inspectorate based on statutory provisions in the field of employment.
